Your assignment will reveal your enemy

Your assignment will reveal your enemy.

When your assignment is awakened within you, your adversary is awakened against you – Nehemiah 2:10,19

“When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official[c] heard of it, they were deeply disturbed that a man had come to seek the well-being of the children of Israel.” Verse 10

“ But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?” Verse 19

Demons are not omnipresent.

They cannot be everywhere simultaneously.

They receive geographical assignments.

When you feel satanic influence is usually when you are operating in your assignment.

Get excited if you sense demonic activity – as satan is anticipating a miracle arriving at your house and he is attempting to break your focus and abort your faith.

The enemy to your prophetic word is usually your own mind – the way that you used to think!

Someone once said that the enemy is not out there but the enemy is in you!

Some thoughts on enemies:

  1. There will be enemiesto your advancement.
Life is 50% better if you just realize there are going to be problems. There will be enemies that try to oppose you and resist you in your advancement in the Kingdom of God. If you haven’t read Ezra 4:4-5 lately you should. Satan does hire people to frustrate your purpose!
  2. Enemies create movement in your life.
If you never had a problem you would never look for a solution.
It is the obstacles and opposition of your life that move you to another level. When you get sick and tired of being sick and tired you go looking for answers.
  3. Your friends create comfort in your life.
Friends teach you what you want to know – enemies teach you what you need to know.
Friends don’t test your character – your enemies do. David was wrongly accused and Saul became an enemy. Being a fugitive from Saul’s sword taught David character – it became the training ground for David to eventually become the king.  Your training ground for being a leader in the Kingdom can often mean years of difficult, unfair treatment. David was forced to flee Saul and was tested to see if he would take things into his own hands. David understood that despite the fact that Saul was wrong in what he was doing, it was not his right to remove Saul from power. This was an amazing character trait of David that few leaders understand or live by.
  4. Every time the enemywants to kill your purpose he puts someone in your life to accomplish that.
Every time God wants to establish purpose in your life He puts someone in your life to accomplish that.
Your relationships will either cultivate a Kingdom culture or destroy that culture.
The relationships that God brings into your life is for the purpose of getting something supplied to you (see Ephesians 4:16).
It is only in your “joinings” that something gets supplied!
The enemy works in your life with the opposite principle – if you have more “joinings” that are taking something out of your life – you will be depleted!
Leaders – discern why someone comes into your life!
  5. Never forget that the enemy of your soul is after your faith!  He is not after your house (he doesn’t need a place to live), he is not after your car (he doesn’t need transportation) – he is not after your stuff (what would he do with it anyway)! What he is after is your faith! Your faith is what PRODUCES a life that accomplishes HIS purpose (see Hebrews 11:6)!  Have you allowed the enemy to steal your faith?

Conclusion: You cannot live in an enemy free environment.
